For years, Craftsman Tools were the gold standard. The best quality and to prove it, they guaranteed them for life. As far as I know, they still do. As a mechanic given the choice to buy whatever brand, common sense would suggest to buy Craftsman. This is not an endorsement for them but merely meant to establish a foundation.
There are currently over 450 translations of the bible in the English language today! But, as with the tool analogy, which is the best? What is the consequence if you choose to trust in the wrong version? What is at stake? Your soul and where you spend eternity is. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Since we understand from the word of God that God is His Word and there are no plurals in that truth, don’t you think it is very risky to put stock in the wrong translation? Now God Almighty is not going to just make Himself known to you and tell you if you are using the right or the wrong version! 1Thessalonians 5:21 “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Because God operates by faith.
How does one go about making sure they are using the right version? By prayer and asking God to confirm what is right in a way that you understand. To reiterate strongly, your soul and your eternity is at stake. If you are listening to the wrong voice, you in danger of hell fire. I know that is bold but true. The simple truth is that God put it into the heart of King James the First to have the bible translated into the English language from what then was predominantly Latin. He called together between 49 to 54 of the most expert biblical scholars who had a strict set of guidelines which they had to follow. They each took 4 sections of the bible and translated it. After which, they cross referenced each other’s work for complete accuracy. This process took 7 years and then the original King James Version of the Holy Bible was released. Within 50 years, it surpassed all other versions of the bible in popularity. It is the best selling book in history as far as books are concerned.
To my knowledge, there are no miracles, healings or any other signs and wonders that have been done outside of the original King James Version of the bible. Not that I have witnessed or heard anyone else testify to. Why am I telling you this? Because God laid it on my heart to write this article for your benefit. He is not the author of confusion! The devil knows one of the best ways to trick God’s people is to alter His Word. Let’s also look at the history of the church since the rising popularity of all these new translations. 50 years ago, one thing was easy to define. And that is how was a true Christian and who was not. The original KJV was the predominant bible in those days. Now you can hardly tell the difference in the lifestyle of a rank sinner and someone who claims to be Christian.
So the point to all this is and what God wants me to convey to you strongly. You best seek God with all your heart, if you are using another translation besides the original KJV, to make known to you if the one you are using is correct or not. And be prepared to accept the answer. Because, according to the word of God, faith comes by hearing (understanding) and hearing (understanding) by the word of God. Then proceeds to teach us how can they hear (understand) without a preacher. A preacher sent by God. Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
